CCTV footage has been released of the terrifying moment when firefighters were ambushed by yobs who lured them to a wheelie-bin fire – then hurled bricks at their windscreen.
The crew, from Heywood fire station, had put out the blaze when they came under attack as they tried to reverse their engine to safety.
One of the bricks shattered the windscreen glass – meaning the vehicle had to be taken off the road for repairs.
